Do you believe Television & Film could do better to advertise and broadcast ethical backgrounds?

Such as race, sexuality, gender and religious beliefs? Do you also think it is worth going in depth in such Television programme’s & films even though it may cause some discomfort to other viewers but yet give a well educated to those who choose to watch it. Please give reasons why?

P.S This is for a report I am writing, I am not asking you to write it for me but I would like to give people’s personal opinions. Thanks!

YES - certainly yes. Media has a social responsibility to educate the masses.
But what about the readers, the society at large, the politicians, the public, the corporate honchos, the bureaucrats - don’t they have responsibility too. Why do we blame the media and put the entire responsibility for reforming the social evils on the media itself - each and every individual will have to play a role - like Each one, Teach One.

The ills of the world, specially the peace, the environment, religeous fundamentalism, rascisim has gone beyond limits and is beyond media to form public opinions. All media can do is - report what you do - doing or not doing is the cmmon man’s responsibility. Don’t shirk your own responsibility and ask the media repair the damage caused by certain vested interests and countries
