Do I have to buy a new TV to watch 3D movies and television shows?

I just bought a Panasonic plasma TV this year. Is there any chance that I will be able to take advantage of any manufacturers upcoming 3d Blu-Ray players using my existing set, or will I have to dish out more money for a new TV when the technology becomes more prominent?

You will just need the glasses because I also have watch 3D movie on my laptop

Will a G-Con 2 lightgun for the Playstation 2 work on an LCD or Plasma Television?

Sorry you would have to purchase a new television HDTV that has 3D capability and if you want 3D movies on Blu-Ray you would also have to buy a Blu-Ray 3D player as well. This can really be really expensive.

I’m pretty sure you should be able to use your existing TV. Think about when you see a 3D movie in the theater: they are just using a projector with a screen. The 3D part comes from the way the film is printed, and from the glasses that you’re wearing. So as long as you have the right Blu-Ray disc and glasses, you should be fine.

You may not need to buy a new TV and just buy 3D glasses but you will need to buy the right kind of 3D glasses which can be more expensive than the cardboard ones at the theater. Some glasses do the 3D work wheras some TVs do the 3D work but there are a few options so you wont have to spend too much money.
