How to set contrast on Panasonic Viera television.?

For christmas my family got a 42" panasonic viera plasma Television and we need to set the contrast below 50 to help avoid ghost images. We’ve tried to find contrast but it isn’t in the menu where Brightness etc. is like a normal tv. Where can we find this setting and is under a different name?

Panasonic refers to contrast as "Picture". You will find this setting under the "Picture" menu option.

In general, "Picture" (contrast) controls the brightness of your whites. The higher this setting, the brighter the image. Setting this value too high will wash-out the details in the bright areas of your scenes.

Panasonic recommends that you harden-off your plasma TV during the first 100 hours. The best way to do this is to use the factory settings with the "Standard" picture mode. This mode comes out of the box with the "Picture" and "Contrast" settings at 50%; an ideal setting during the hardening-off period. Use the reset in the "Standard" picture mode to reset these values back to the factory settings if you have changed them.

A shipment of 40 Television sets contains 3 defective units. How many ways can a vending company can buy five of these units and receive no defective units.

How would you go about solving this?

He first turns on 5 TVs. If they all are good, he quits. If there are one or more defective units he selects another set. If he now has 5 good ones he quits. If not he picks a seventh set. If he now has 5 good sets he quits. Otherwise he has four good sets and three bad sets so all of the rest are good and he just picks up one of them. Now he must have five good set.

Of course he could just turn on eight sets while the first one is still warming up and he has to have five or more good sets.

I know that NODDY was a character’s name, but I also thought that NODDY was an abbreviation for the type of things the store sold…like "Something Odd Doodads from Days of Yore" or something like that. I wondered what the actual thing was. Thanks.

The name came from Noddy himself, his head nodded up and down all the time.

Did anyone ever buy a panasonic plasma 42" g10 television from best buy?

I just want to know because I was considering buying that model a few weeks ago but now I’m going to wait for the g25.It was hard finding the g10,don’t know if best buy ever carried it and now I’m worried they won’t have the g25.If they don’t I’ll have to buy online.

Best Buy used to have plenty of G10’s!

The G10 was a popular model. However…all stores are clearing out last years models for this years! It should only be a matter of weeks before Panasonic’s new 2010 models go on sale at places like Best Buy. The G25 should be there as soon as the other models go on sale.

Good choice in that G25 btw! That puppy should have an amazing picture quality with HD sources!
