Why is it that Fox news is mostly conservative while their entertainment television is edgy and more liberal?

Author: It is very contradictory for the network to host shows like Family Guy, and then still promote a strong conservative news basis with Hanity and O’Riley. Fox has always been an edgy network in comparison to NBC or CBS, like Married With Children, In Living Color, even the Simpson’s were stretching the envelope. These are all shows absent of moral behavior (yet very entertaining), and typically inconsistent with their conservative views. I remember a Simpson’s episode years ago said that the FCC is a Republican contributor, and by having "risky" Television broadcast on Fox feeds funds back to the FCC in fines and penalties. I imagine that was a joke, or is it true? Is the FCC even allowed to provide campaign funds? Anyhow just curious if anyone has the answer.
Their ‘news’ division panders to those frightened individuals that think the world is going to end in 2012 and that the Democrats will be behind it. Their ‘entertainment’ division appears to be targeted at the opposite demographic. Best of both worlds = Lots of $$$$$$$$ for Rupert.

The owner of fox is a businessman and knows it is wise to play both sides, it is all about money.

It’s more about business, money and keeping your viewers happy. Fox news in one perspective acts hypocritically by airing liberal shows, which by the definition of a liberal is a person who has received a high level of education. Many people who have gone to upper educational schools choose to be liberal just so you know. We all are conservative in our ways, however some interpret conservative according to their beliefs. In this instance, Fox News plays both sides of the fence for the purpose of having a wider viewing audience, as many don’t like their leading news statements, and biassed airing toward conservative values, as opposed to just the straight facts.

Pl. mind the meaning of FOX. It is for foxes, NOT human beings. After all, tell me any american who bothers about international current affairs. Americans of one state don’t at all know anything about their neigbour states of USA itself.
