Will 42 inch flat screen Television prices be lower before or after Christmas?

I’m looking to buy a 34 to 42 inch flat screen, high quality, hdtv or plasma or LCD or whatever, Television sometime soon.
Any advice in general for buying/shopping for one?
Would I be better off purchasing it before or after Christmas?
Any advice in particular for buying one in Manhattan?

It doesn’t really matter if you buy your tv before or after christmas. Most retailers have those price match policy for 1 month for appliances- that if you buy it now for that low price and the price changed after a week, you can then have that price matched if you go to their customer service and show them your receipt.

Good Luck!

How to program an old panasonic tv to detect basic cable channels?

I have a 1987 Panasonic TeleTelevision that I want to work with basic cable. I need to program the tv to pick up the cable channels but I don’t have a remote for it and can’t find an auto-program button on it (too old for on screen menus). Do I need a converter box or something? Is there a way to manually program a tv this old without a remote?

Hard to say without the model number. I seem to recall that Panasonic’s of that era used mechanical slide switches (TV/Cable1[ICC]/Cable2[HRC] etc.) and add/erase buttons. They were usually situated behind or underneath a door or panel.

how much does it cost to repair a plasma tv that has half the screen going black?

The bottom half of my plasma Television keeps turning black. You be watching it and then in a couple of minutes it turns blacks I just wanted to know how much it would take to fix it.

Most Xsus boards cost about $500 total….with labor.
